There are a variety of ways that an ebook can be read, making it one of the most versatile entertainments available. DiskUs Publishing is proud to remain on the cutting edge of technology in its efforts to provide a platform or format to suit every reader's needs.

Currently, DiskUs Publishing offers its books in PDF format, readable on the free Adobe Acrobat reader; in HTML format, readable on any Internet browser without the need for an Internet connection; in PRC format, readable for Palm Pilot users, and in Microsoft Reader Format. If another format is needed, DiskUs strives to provide books available on an individual basis.

DiskUs Publishing books are available in html for the RocketBook format.

DiskUs Books are available as downloads straight to your computer or diskettes, delivered to the customer by the U.S. Postal Service. Remember...there are no hidden costs in ordering an ebook diskette from DiskUs Publishing. Shipping and handling costs are contained in the price.

Most downloads come compressed (or zipped) to save uploading and downloading time. PC users can use a utility such as Winzip to decompress the file once it's downloaded. Mac users can use a utility such as Aladdin's Stuff-It to decompress the files.

How to read ebooks once you've received one...

PDF: Download the free Adobe Acrobat reader. Install the program on your computer. Once the program is installed, open it. Go to File>Open>Select the drive that holds the book file>Select the file>Click open.

HTML: There are two ways to open a book in the html format.

1. Open the drive that holds the ebook. Double click on the browser icon which is beside the book's title. It should open in your default browser.

2. Open the browser program. Go to File>Open>Select the drive that holds the ebook>Select the file>Click open.

Microsoft Reader The file you receive will be a .lit file. Simply download the file to My Documents>My Library on your hard drive. Then open the reader and select your book.

PRC: Follow the instruction for downloading the .prc file which accompanied the reader.
