Jackie   Miriam

Jacqueline S. Hamilton and Miriam A. Pace have been writing partners for over two years and recently sold three books in one week. Besides their mutual love of romance, and their wacky views of life in general, their partnership thrives. Not only do they write together, but they are friends, mutual cheer-leaders, and therapists.

Jackie knows that Miriam is always supporting her, following her down the long road of life making sure her dress isn’t stuck in her panty house. And Miriam knows that Jackie will always bring a laugh while they are working. Miriam disguises her wicked sense of humor behind a lady-like facade that Jackie delights in poking holes in. Sometimes, the two can’t get much done because they are laughing too hard.

It’s hard to believe this Mutt and Jeff combination has produced almost eight books since they first teamed up. And while Miriam worries Jackie is teaching the Pace’s poor, misguided dog all the vices that life has to offer, including smoking and lying, Jackie is busy coming with more ideas than Miriam can keep up with.

The writing bug bit Jackie when she snuck her first romance comic book at the age of ten and hid it in her spelling book. She decided on a career in writing when one of her university professors told her she would be wasted as a lawyer. World-traveler and inveterate humorist, Jackie loves a good dirty joke, Ben and Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, and a good romance. Jackie is the Ally McBeal of romance writers. She lives Barstow, California, high-light of the high desert, with a Cocker Spaniel who has her own sofa.

Miriam published her first book, New Orleans, on the same day her son Jeff was born, 18 years ago. She went on to publish one more historical with Zebra and then switched to contemporary sweet romances for Avalon. Her articles have appeared in countless newsletters and magazines including Kathryn Falk’s best-selling anthology, How To Write A Romance and Get It Published. Miriam loves fine wine, Godiva chocolates, and a good mystery. She lives in Mira Loma, California, with her hubby of 29 years, her son and assorted animals both land and water.

Miriam and Jackie look forward to writing together for many more years and promise never to stop being silly and funny.
